A casino on the top floor of Saks probably won’t be filled with penny slots and $5 blackjack. They would probably go high end. They’re competing against Wynn/Related at Hudson Yards and Caesars/Times Square for the Manhattan location though so they probably don’t have a shot.

It would be a fun job to retire to. I've struck up some nice conversations with dealers over the years. I love hearing their stories.

Stop infantilizing adults.
We must protect the poor from themselves. They’re just too stupid to know what’s best for them. That’s what your argument sounds like.

Casinos are fun and harmless to 99% of the people who go. Why should New York continue to lose money to Connecticut and New Jersey?

Reply to State Orders NYC To Drop Foie Gras Sales Ban, Says Ban Violates NY Agricultural Law by Gato1980
This was the dumbest law that no one was asking for and was actively hurting NYS farmers. We have the best ducks and foie in the world, arguably better than France, and we were banning their best product.

And when you arrive early at a hotel you can leave your bags, probably take a shower, use the pool. You arrive early at an AirBnB you stand on the street waiting for the guy to arrive with the key.

Chase Sapphire Reserve with 10x Lyft points and free Lyft Pink (which also includes Seamless +) is the best part of that card. No delivery fees and 15% off every Lyft ride plus the points. If you don’t have, it’s a great card for living here.

There are some rooms at lower end hotels in Las Vegas like that with bunk beds. It makes a lot of sense for a party hotel that caters to young people on a budget. Wouldn’t make sense for an upscale hotel though.

As someone who grew up in CT and lives in NYC, CT has the best pizza. NYC doesn't even have the best pizza in NYS. Oneonta, NY with Mama Nina's, Sal's and Tino's, with or without cold cheese, have the best slices you can find anywhere. NYC pizza is overrated. There are obviously great pizza shops, but per capita they're few and far between.

Unless it's a group trip, there's no reason for AirBnB. Even on groups I'll sometimes stay in a hotel instead. At least with a hotel, I can leave my bags with their bellman and start the vacation if the room isn't ready.

She just brought a $100 billion investment to the Syracuse area. The election denying corrupt piece of trash from Long Island who thinks the biggest issue in the world is “woke” would never have accomplished that. And that’s all Democrats and the CHIPS Act that Republicans like Claudia Tenney voted against.

California is the only place I feel truly comfortable outside of the Northeast. Part of me would love to live in LA, but it's so spread out and the thought of needing a car to get places is miserable.
