I certainly can. What I don't understand is lecturing other people about their dog, especially when doing so is at least a little hypocritical. The basic argument is you shouldn't buy a dog when many already need homes. Lots of kids need homes, and people who adopt kids generally don't lecture others about it. Very long winded way of saying I find the "adopt don't shop" people annoying and I don't have pets.

You expected people in New England to be fake-friendly like people in the south? Whoops! Yes, costs are rising everywhere. Ours went up like crazy during COVID, and the only logical explanation is a shit load of people moving here to work from home. Sorry we aren't thrilled about it. And there are a lot of fake people and virtue signaling types here but lots of them just got here too.

We don't really have gayborhoods here, no town or city is big enough for that.

TL;DR: there is literally no available housing here unless you have a shit ton of cash and even then it's iffy. Renting... Forget it.
