Reply to TIFU trying to make candied oranges by MelonLord2
I just scrubbed some oranges, and now need to slice them, in prep for boiling, then sugaring. Amusing to hear your story, and I’m going to be careful! Thanks for the warning.

This is a money problem, not a flesh and bone problem. It WILL be ok. What you need to do is practice what to do when you make a wrong turn. Everyone makes wrong turns. You need to learn to evaluate where you are on the road, which lanes go straight and which turn, and accept that you may have to just go where your lane wants, and fix it afterwards. Much MUCH safer in the long run.
Be glad your first mistake didn’t involve flesh and bone.

I’ve been married over 30 years. Way back before that, I read that it was healthy to be able to laugh and joke about any nonsense that happened during sex….because some WOULD happen. The advice was sound!!!

I guess that makes sense. I have had a couple cat with significant urinary issues, one kept getting sick with it. So, we had a lot to deal with. I always found vinegar worked better. I tried everything I could find!

Why did you tell him to even use bleach? You rinse and rinse fabric soaked with cat urine, and then use soap, and rinse, over and over until the water runs clear, and then use either an enzyme cleaner or vinegar. Far more effective than bleach.

That powder is the same stuff they put in those water cooling neck wrap tube things, and in “core coolers” for dogs. It’s really neat stuff, well, except after a kid pees, of course.
