yup, I played the games first, thought the games were just based on the books but later realised they are not and started reading them and damn they are so good.

Reply to This sub's most popular posts regarding Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist are negative... I loved it! by benspaperclip
I loved it too, and I am ok if most people didn't like it, we have different perspectives and have read different stuff in our life and that can change the way we think about a story. The Alchemist was one the first books I read and maybe I liked it more because I wasn't exposed to many books yet. But even after reading many books (although not much tbh) I still like it. I still go back to the parts I had highlighted and still draw inspiration from those lines. I recommend it to all beginner readers since it's short and is written in very simple english.

Reply to How do you make a habit of reading for leisure, not only for university studies? by bunga_Berapi
well best is to pick something good, something you cannot put down from the genre you like. You can go to r/suggestmeabook where people can recommend books according to what you would like to read.
I will also suggest listening to audiobooks when you are doing something mundane like chores, commuting etc. Audiobooks help me a lot to get through something boring, I no longer hate chores because of it.
