I read the books as they came out. The last one came out when I was 13. I’ve always found them excellent. Of course they’re not a “realistic” mystery series, they weren’t from the start

Reply to TIL that most non-human primate infants actively use their hands to help themselves out of the birth canal. Human infants do not, but their grip strength is much higher during the hours immediately after they are born. by afeeney

I’ve never understood why people insist on putting fire in front of infants
