Star Wars had single-biome planets, and no one bats an eye. Seasons on exoplanets are already an exotic idea in fiction. I believe the reason to be "don't think too hard about it".

Putting batteries in wheels does nothing for stability, except thrashing suspension response due to unsprung weight.

That's a different uprising. There were two, the Ghetto Uprising in 1943, and Warsaw Uprising in 1944.
