As a master electrician, I can assure you this isn't a good idea.
If you have any problems, a fire, etc.- you have no recourse and can get in serious trouble for unpermitted work. The fees and fines start at 5k.
Not to mention how this undermines legit business.
Uninsured and unpermitted work isn't worth the savings.
