Definitely yes. It is financed by tax money. We also have commercial channel’s news that hasn’t gone completely mad like in the US and I suppose the public service media may be the reason. People leaning towards the right tend to claim that the public service media is very leftist.

Swedish public news has to be objective by law but it seems hard in practice. If there are two sides of a story with a ratio of 100:1 they still feel they have to interview the 1 opposing view resulting in a 1:1 time in the limelight (sometimes that is).
