Well it wasn’t a guide to great service- it was a guide to where the could travel safely, or find any service at all. There was and still are a lot of places in the US where being Jewish is dangerous

GG absolutely was an icon in punk. Hence, here we are arguing about it on Reddit decades after he died.

Whether or not you agree with what he’s done (I’m not a fan) it doesn’t take away from his prominence or influence on the culture.

The punk scene by its very nature attracts fuck ups. Most of its legends were heavily involved in drugs, violence, criminality,etc. Utilising shock in performance has always been a key component.

You sound like a straight up square that wants to sugar coat the history and make it seem like everyone has good intentions and was politically moral
