I write gift tags with silly dad jokes and bad puns as clues, youngest distributes and reads, and everybody tries to guess what it is (recipient first, of course)

Hi, I cannot highly enough recommend the pipe trades: plumber/pipefitter as an option. You'll start out at about $20/hr, which is not terrible... as a journeyman, I'm making $50+

Health care? Yup. Not out of pocket.

Annuity (401K)? Yup. Not out of pocket. (although I can contribute $6 matched)

Pension? Yup. (Local and national)
