If you have some interests, then find a meetup group for it (swing dancing, hiking, etc). Meet your neighbors and invite them for meals, nightlife, etc.

DMV usually refers to the parts of Maryland and Virginia that immediately surround DC. So it includes places like Silver Spring and Bethesda, not so much Baltimore. It's a fun area, and if you make friends down there it's a good place to spend a weekend. But it's a long drive to constantly be visiting.

I worked with Primary too. They had an office in Canton that was convenient for me at the time. Had a great experience. Just know that like every small lender, they will transfer your account to a big lender like Wells Fargo about a month after closing.

Watch out though, often a thin metal panel is used to prevent you from drilling into plumbing or electrical wires behind that portion of the wall. Make sure it's 100% a metal stud, and not just a metal protective panel over a wood stud near something sensitive.
