Bought the original iPhone because it was a way better phone - super easy an intuitive to manage calls and contacts.
Stayed with it the first few years because it was still a better phone, and the best smart phone.
At that point I had built a number of routines around it, like the way I use various iTunes Smart Playlists to manage my music. And over the years I've gotten into more of the Apple ecosystem, with a MacBook Pro, HomePods (Gen 1), iPads, Apple Watches, etc.
So at this point I am not cross-shopping Android or other non-Apple phones - the only decision each year is whether or not the new model offers enough to make it worth upgrading.
