How can you use the CMB as a reference frame if it is roughly uniform in every direction?

Also, Travelers. They're both extremely good shows.

I once found a gecko that had died while it was on the side of a metal pole. From it's dehydration, you could tell it had been dead for at least half a day. I took it off to get rid of it and it was still stuck really well. It felt like peeling Velcro.

I think your right. Inspecting it more closely, I can see that all the joints are cracked open.

Thanks for your suggestions. The house is single-wall construction, so there is no framing, The house is up on posts, so it's easy to inspect underneath and it doesn't look like there are any problems there. The gap on the hinge side looks almost perfectly even from top to bottom while the gap at the top is like an eighth of an inch on the hinge side and over an inch on the other.

We're in Hawaii, so the temperature and humidity are pretty constant throughout the year.

Thank you. This is great info. Anecdotally, it might explain why I don't seem to need much pain medication.

All these posts are citing the nocebo effect, but not in the context of the original question. Yes, nocebo is the opposite of placebo, but the question was >Can your body prevent a medicine from working because you strongly believe it doesn't work?
So, we know belief in a side effect can cause the side effect, but can disbelief in the beneficial effect of a medicine diminish that effect.
