For Yahweh’s sake, don’t give them ideas about needing more lebensraum.

Forgot about that. Yes, it was also working for the five people who used Windows phones.

Whatsapp was big outside USA before FB bought it. It was the default replacement for the extremely popular Blackberry Messenger, because WA was the only app that worked on all three smartphone platforms (Android, iPhone, and Blackberry). Once they’re in, there has never been a compelling reason to leave.

In this particular case I would still go for the salaried position. Not having to clock in and clock out alone is worth it.

Never accept a counter offer. The only exception is if they offer you a new position with higher pay, i.e. a promotion. Then you can consider it.
If it’s just more money, decline. They should have valued you properly to begin with, and not wait until you get a different offer.

Reply to [OC] Relation between the square meter price of an apartment and distance from Notre Dame de Paris in Paris and Ile-de-France by sudu1988
There are dense vertical clusters around 25km and 48km from Notre Dame. I wonder what popular areas are at that distance from the cathedral.
