Amen! If you want to help fight the gerrymandering, sign up or at least watch the news of, https://www.fairdistrictspa.com/

I remember the R's trying to pass a law that the state legislature could ignore the Governor in a state of emergency, that BTW, they could declare. Does anyone know if that ever passed? PA could still be in trouble if that passed.

I commend your interest in reading more. I agree with others that suggest audio books. I've always been a reader but audio books have made it so much easier. You can listen to a good book while doing other things. If your attention wanders it's easy to back up. You should get a library card and then sign up for Libby, the libraries' online lending library. You can borrow e-books and audio books. Then if you don't care for whatever you chose, it's easy to find something else and there's no money lost. You might be able to find similar genres that will have books you'll like if you look for something similar to what you watch on tv whether it's comedy, fantasy, csi type police/fbi shows.

What a fabulous question! I would have to narrow it down to any of the fantasy books by Andre Norton. While it's not the genre I typically read now, her Witch World series was my first introduction to fantasy and I loved it. You are so right that I've read thousands and I can't really narrow my reading down to one book, not even to one genre. LOL

I listen to lots of audiobooks. Typically I listen while I'm doing rather mundane things that don't detract my attention. If I do lose track, it's not a big deal to go back a chapter or rewind a few minutes. I also listen to most of them at 1.5 speed depending on the narrator. If a book is complex, I'll save it for listening in the car or bedtime, some occasion where I have less to distract me.
