I work at a school and can attest it's ridiculously hard to expel a student and it's impossible if the student has any kind of IEP or a 504 plan because they're considered special education students and there's a ton of regulations schools have to follow for those kinds of students. I've had students violently assault staff members without any consequences because the administration is only allowed to suspend them from school 10 days total for the year so the administration feels they have to choose those days wisely, which the student knows so they know they can just keep assaulting people and have no reason to stop.

To expel a student for behavior issues requires the school to find and pay for their education somewhere else. Unfortunately, these few available alternative schools are selective and will then insist after a while that the student is ready to return to regular school since there's always a wait list and they want to free up a spot for another student. Then the student returns, can't cope with the regular school and does something that gets them kicked out and placed in a different alternative school. It's a horrible cycle and the returned students are usually more dangerous because they want to do something to get themselves out of the regular school again. I've had newly returned students try to commit suicide at school because they can't cope in a regular education system, and it's frankly terrifying as an educator.

Yeah, it kind of worries me that the PA Dept. of Environmental Protection hasn't specifically mentioned dioxin in their testing.

I'm in Western PA and the news here has said they've been doing tests to make sure everything is safe and the local governments are trying to make sure areas in Western PA that were close but not in the evacuation zone aren't forgotten by Norfolk Southern.

I know people with farms in Beaver County, PA have been concerned about whether their crops, livestock, or water could be contaminated but no one so far has found anything but the air being contaminated during the idiotic controlled burn. I'm hoping that because our part of the Ohio River is upstream from the derailment the contamination won't spread to the many rivers in the Pittsburgh area, but I'd hope they're being tested regularly since I know some of the Pittsburgh universities like Carnegie Mellon were involved in independent testing in East Palestine.

However, the person I knew who tested the local waterways and raised concerns about what had gone into the Allegheny River when a Norfolk Southern train with hazardous material derailed into the river in 2005 isn't here anymore so I can't find out the real water results this time and know from the 2005 crash not to blindly accept the publicly reported results, so it's kind of anyone's guess right now if it's really safe with the first day of trout starting March 25th for youth and April 1st for everyone else. I'll be erring on the side of caution and skipping fishing this year unless I find someone local who has independently verified the local water and the fish in it aren't contaminated.

The lack of humanity Muslims show towards women and girls always makes me livid. Women gave each Muslim man life just so he could make sure females have no rights and can be poisoned or killed at will as part of their twisted and distorted version of religion.

The husband probably has a history of being abusive or controlling. That kind of thing happens everywhere regardless of the family's wealth, house, neighborhood, or how happy they look in public. Domestic murder suicides seem to be all about power with the guy taking his wife's life. Maybe the wife was planning to divorce him for being an abusive ass and he couldn't let that happen so he did this without caring at all about what he was doing to his kids.

We had a father murder his ex-wife in a semi-wealthy suburb outside of Pittsburgh and then he shot himself all because his ex had dared to start dating 5 years after their divorce. I always felt so bad for their young kids who have to grow up now without their parents.
