This is probably one of the few instances where repetition is a good thing. We all benefit when workers are informed, and folks are horrible about searching for existing info.

In Oregon, since we don't pump our own gas, they haven't started playing commercials through the gas pumps.

If black leggings are acceptable for the purpose, you might consider some merino wool leggings. Woolx and Minus33 both have some.

Looks aren't the only thing that matters. Belts can sometimes be a problem from a health standpoint.
And as a woman, I happen to adore the suspender look on a man.
I bought suspenders for my husband for both health and appearance reasons.

Something you might consider: A game cart. They're designed to make it easy to move a lot of weight in non-ideal terrain.
I have this one and love how easy it is to maneuver: Kill Shot 300 lb. Capacity Folding Game Cart https://www.discountramps.com/hunting/game-carts-hoists/p/GAME-CART-SM/
Open box currently available for $82.99, new is $126 after 10% discount for giving them your email.
You'd need to have some kind of container you can strap to the cart, but I'm guessing you already have laundry baskets or bags you could use. Not quite as convenient in some respects, but also more flexible in ways it can be used since odd-sized and oversized items can be strapped to the cart.
EDIT: Primary downside is the surface won't be flat, so items not strapped down or packed tightly will shift/roll.

Consider Olukai. I've owned and loved a pair of their leather slippers for a couple of years now and approve of the durability. They're not Goodyear welt BIFL quality, but they're not in that price bracket, either. They're solid and comfortable.

Due to the window configuration in our rental, portable A/C is pretty much our only option. It hit 115F last summer, so we're not willing to be without A/C. We have both a single hose model and a dual hose model. The dual hose model puts out more BTU's for less energy usage. The dual hose model is also able to send water out the exhaust hose, which is a significant improvement over the single hose model that has a little "pee tube" that we leave in a bucket that has to be emptied periodically. The bucket has overflowed more than once when we weren't paying close enough attention.
If an in-window unit isn't an option then get yourself a Whynter dual hose model. They're expensive, and they take up a lot of floor space (hoses out the back can't make a sharp bend, so expect the unit to sit a few feet away from the wall) but at least they work regardless of your window setup. We've had our single hose model for, oh, probably around 7 years now and I think the dual hose has seen us through 4 summers now.
Make note of the square footage they'll cool. We have the single hose 8,000 BTU model in a bedroom and a 14,000 BTU dual hose model in the main part of our small home. (I'm not sure on square footage but it's probably somewhere around 1,000 sq ft and we often close off the second bedroom to reduce cooling needs.)

You want braided cables (not just a braided sleeve). My husband ended up choosing JSAux for our phone charging cables and we've been very happy with them.

Reply to LPT Request: How to talk to a coworker that took credit for your idea? by kellogg888
IMO, there's not much point in bringing it up. The damage has already been done. This person has proven themselves untrustworthy and you should avoid sharing future ideas with them directly before ensuring you have claimed credit for the ideas with those who matter.
By bringing it up with them you will let them know that you picked up on what they did, which will put them on their guard and potentially make them see you as an adversary to watch. If you don't bring it up then they will see you as oblivious, which may make them less guarded. Better to leave them underestimating you.
