If I had a time machine, would definitely go back and walk around Scollay Square.

Yeah, but as a kid it was exciting waiting for the news to read off your town's name and kind of a rush when they did.

If there's that many psychos pushing people on the tracks that it's really necessary, we're kind of fucked anyway.

Does NYC even have that? They didn't when I lived there 10 years ago, but haven't been back lately.

I do this when it's 32 degrees. I'm a lot less likely to do it when it's 22 or 12.

Maybe his first leading role. I remember that he was one of the thugs that beat up Charles Bronson or his wife in Death Wish.

Sorry. I'll do a search next time. This is one of the ones I've thought about for years and I just started posting on Reddit. There's maybe only so many ideas out there.

I agree. He played the role on Broadway first, so it wasn't his "debut" playing that part, but he was so good that it transformed movies.

You could add Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver, but she'd already done some movies before that.

That's a good answer, though he had a leading role in One False Move before that, which is one of my favorite movies.

You should get points for thinking of something instead of looking it up, but her first movie was actually The Professional.

WWII was on once Germany invaded Poland in 1939. But, they wiped out French and British forces in France quickly. IMO, invading the USSR was the beginning of the end for them because it stretched out their supply lines and put them in a two front war once the US attacked them from the south and then the west (and bombed out their factories).

I think the HBO series Deadwood made efforts to stay true to historical details.

Also, Jews who tried to join Polish partisans to fight against the Nazis were mostly refused.

Ok. I was just pointing out that both the Poles and the Nazis emphasized that distinction.

The butts may be more biodegradable. Those plastic airplane bottles will still be there in 1,000 years.
