isn’t this supposed to take place in the same universe as atlanta? it’s set in a surreal heightened reality, it’s not supposed to be realistic.

disastrous final two seasons of an already declining show that weakens even its best moments in retrospect*

If we’re talking strictly quality wise Succession is better than Game of Thrones. From an influence and impact pov, yes Thrones deserves a spot.

never really thought of the show as sinister even though it gets dark at times

yes, easily ryan murphy’s best work and one of the best tv seasons of the 2010s

if i'm not mistaken tina fey originally planned to have that mr mayor show be a jack donaghy spin off and alec baldwin declined the idea, so even if we set aside the possibility of him going to jail it'd be a reboot without jack which (as much as i love the rest of the cast) would be pointless.
i do miss the show a lot though, i'm currently rewatching it and there really isn't anything like it.

lost is absolutely worth watching, especially if you like the leftovers and are okay with mysteries not getting resolved.
when you’re binge watching you get less attached to the mysteries and more into the character journeys, which is where the show really excels. most backlash came from people who were watching the show over 6 years and invested a lot of time into figuring out the mysteries.

how did you enjoy Atlanta? I understand not liking both if it's not your style but there are many bizarre occurrences with no logical explanations in Atlanta, so criticizing one but enjoying the other seems weird.
