A little bit icy in spots on the way up but otherwise good. I have AWD, & did not need to use chains. Also didn’t see a single other car with chains either.
No - the entrance to Paradise area is closed weekdays until May 1 I believe. Only open Saturdays & Sundays. You can still access the park but can only get as far as the Longmire area.
