I just love the fact that Mastriano was to show up at the Spooky Nook with all of his other republican colleagues, and instead bailed. I don't really know the story behind it but supposedly he had other committments? This even was apparently scheduled for some time.

EDIT: I can't wait for November 8th. I've already decided whom I'm going to vote for and its not the dude that loves the moonies religion, nor the fake doctor.........

His daughter Allison has been running the pharmacy and gun store for a few years now while Charlie "semi retired" so my gut feeling is yes both the pharmacy and gun store will remain open. She is also a pharmacist.

Very nice and humble family. I've seen them reach out and give thousands of dollars to those in need and never asked for acknowledgement. There are many families that have enjoyed their helping hands without question.

Charlie sure had his share of opponents on what he believed in, but as the mayor of Lancaster he really cared about the people and the city. He succeeded in many areas and definitely wasn't out for the popular vote.

I had the opportunity to speak to Charlie on numberous occassions inside and outside the pharmacy.

Fun Fact that most people don't know: He is a registered gun dealer that actually sells firearms out of the back of the pharmacy.

Also a fact: Charlie Smithgall actually shot the intruders that tried to rob him and the store in a armed robbery. He struck one several times. This was back in October 2018, so he would have been 73 at the time he did that.

I really have to agree with the main headline of this. Because my wife and I happened to be in the hospital at the same time a few years ago, the school called because it was considered "child abandonment", yet our teenage son was more than capable of taking care of himself. I'm a mandated reporter because of my position within the community and am so damn frustrated with our current system.

Those that should actually receive complaints are ignored. This past summer our neighbors literally placed a padlock on the door to the refrigerator which they kept in their bedroom along with all the other food. Their children were so neglected it was terrible and the roof was leaking in all the bedrooms, and the floor was rotted away in another. It took us entering without the parents permission (we brought pizza for the kids). Their piece of shit parental units were out getting high and crushing and inhaling prescription medications. The local police department would not do anything about it no matter how many times we reported it because they felt the children were fine. A 9 year old that only weighed 31 pounds? I mean is was painfully obvious. The kids were beaten by their parents when they were found with a can opener eating stuff out of cans..... OMG I am still so furious at our system...

Trust me Lancaster County has ALOT around. I lived in Manheim/Mount Joy area most of my life and also spent a lot of time at State Gameland 156. I've seen wildlife. Even saw a bear just out for a leisurely stroll in nearby Middle Creek

Where I live now its not uncommon to see both bear and deer tracks , plus coyotes, foxes are regular visitors....

Because no matter what you call them the mountain lion is still making great strides in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is also infested with coyotes, but you don't hear alot about them unless you live in rural populous places. I live in Columbia County and literally came within about 15-20 yards of a pack about a week ago. They didn't want part of myself or my dog and they are on guard to begin with.

Yes and no... Unincorporated land: No Unincorporated villages and towns: Yes, we have such areas.

I don't know for example about Centralia since the fires... On paper I believe it is still listed as a borough, but since the area has all but been abandoned I really don't know if that will bring it back to be uninforporated land. That should be happening within the next 15-20 years.
