It’s apples and oranges. Somerville alone is half the population of the entire city of providence. People pay 3-4k easily for comparable apartments in the ville these days.

Pawtucket just by the border of lippit park / oak hill yes? It’s cheaper but not that much cheaper. East side is closer to Brookline / sville / Watertown vibe (pre t extension!). Public transport isn’t great (t is better even tho the t is still lacking in context).

Seen rents in Somerville and Brookline lately? PVD is way cheaper.
