Correct, as far as I know that is still in place for some unknown amount of time. Alongside that initial report about the deal from 2021, was info that Microsoft was working with Qualcomm and MediaTek on chips for ARM based Windows PCs. When ever Microsoft decides it's ready to launch and move forward with those is when i think the deal will magically end and Windows for ARM will be open for manufacturers to run wild with.

You might be thinking of Rosetta 2, the emulation app Apple uses to emulate/translate x86 Mac software. Apple Silicon Macs do not currently have Boot Camp on them.

I think they're fairly likely. Current society is already fairly dystopian due to advancing technologies we already have, enabled/exacerbated by bad politics. I think unless something drastic happened, that trend is more likely to continue and get worse than it is to somehow fix itself without something major happening.

Yup, made me think about Altered Carbon "stacks" too. Stacks in the world of Altered Carbon are effectively bio-mechanical hard drives that store a real time updating copy of your consciousness. If you "die" you can always be put in a new body as long as the Stack is in tact. Effectively creating near, perceived immortality. Life expectancy in this world is hundreds of years rather than 60-80. Technically your organic brain still ceases if you die or are killed. No consciousness transfer is happening here, but to any other person "you" still carries on because all memories and feelings up till the moment of death are preserved in the Stack.
In typical dystopian fashion, the world is depicted as being horrifically capitalist with no social safety nets or help for the less fortunate. New bodies to have your Stack put into become products and what kind of body your Stack may get put into depends on your wealth and class. The poor get put into unwanted, ailment afflicted, elderly, disabled, etc, bodies. While the rich can afford the best bodies that are more geared toward youth and physical strength/prowess, and the uber wealthy can afford to clone and print their own bodies.
Any life extending or life re-starting tech will always go this way long as our society is how it is. So it's kind of tough to be excited about or be hopeful about it (which sucks because as a lover of sci-fi, i love this stuff as concepts in a vacuum).

Reply to comment by dylsekctic in Immune reactions to severe Covid may trigger brain problems, study finds | Research suggests immune response may be cause of delirium and brain fog in Covid patients by Hrmbee
I had it once (mild symptoms, basically just an annoying sore throat/cough that went away after a few days). But I constantly wonder about what if I've had it other times and I never knew because it was asymptomatic. I'd be so fascinated to see if science in the future comes up with a test that can show how much COVID has been in your body before or something like that. And I'm curious if the OP study has any implications for whether or not asymptomatic cases can still lead to long COVID issues like neurological problems. Or if the chances/severity of long COVID is tied to how severe your symptoms/immune response is. Just so many things we still don't know or are only just scratching the surface on with COVID.

Reply to comment by petrichoring in ChatGPT or similar AI as a confidant for teenagers by demauroy
The thing with therapist support for teens is that it requires the teen to have to go to their parents and ask to be taken to a therapist (not to mention the cost of the therapist). A teen having an AI bot trained on things therapists do/say and techniques they use could give teens an outlet for issues that they benefit from simply venting or talking out, but aren't serious enough to have to go through all the steps and vulnerability/exposing yourself needed when it comes to asking parents to take you to a therapist.
