Is not cliche though, it’s the truth, and its a 5 hour drive for me. Its a great weekend trip with wifey.

Quebec city is beyond great, the only walled city on the north american continent north of Mexico city. Super charming, very french Canadian, and the perfect getaway for two or three days.

How do you expect there to be time for such things between Marlboro Reds, Fireball Nips, and the new piece of shit they have to pick up to put in the front yard?

Depending on how much you like people, sure. Freeport is a worthwhile winter hang, as is Portland.

If you are looking for additional train insight for future trips, take the Amtrak to the Northern Terminus in Brunswick Maine, get a coffee at Dog Bar Jim, and then take the train they are running North up the coast this summer to some of Maine’s premier waterfront destinations, with bikes. 👍🏽

OP, your best bet is going to be to drive all the way to North Conway, ride bikes around town, and the town has a scenic railway that has like 1,3 and 5 hour rides if you want some good scenery.

My point was that most people who live/have lived out west don’t view 4 hours as too long a drive to get anywhere.

True this!!!’ People coming from rt 1 towards that intersection almost always come to a full stop even though they have a lane dedicated to them. Its maddening.

Bro, in fairness, you opted in to the argument. Clearly you are cruising the sub to shit on folks, so you got exactly what you wanted. Your bitterness and confrontational manner reek of small dick energy.

Yea, sure. But Manch was a poor smelling dumpster dire a decade ago and has been burning hot ever since. Portland is one of the most charming small cities in America. Comparing the two is a fool’s errand.
