It definitely has things about it that suck for a lot of audiences. For fans though, those things are just part of the charm.

The blue or green of her skin never hid her blackness though. Just as Sam Worthington's never hid his whiteness. She's just a great actor that has been really lucky and happened to get hue-shifted a few times.

There was a green chick in Star Trek, but not a green Saldana.

And why shouldn't indirect contact be suitable? Hold it in your teeth for example. I imagine something would even get through merely holding it in your hand.

You'd be able to see stars during the day, but only in special conditions where the sunlight is not visible and your eyes have had a chance to adjust.
EDIT: the above commenter removed their mention of stars, making me look like a crazy person.

You're sure... based on what?
EDIT: Some animals just can't thrive in captivity, no matter how rich or well-intentioned their owners are. Great white sharks, for example, always die in captivity, no matter how big or fancy the aquarium is. Zebras were never domesticated the way that horses were, for similar reasons. I don't know this to be true about anteaters, but it's not difficult to imagine.
