Weird. I’ve lubed hundreds of boba u4ts with that method and never had issues. I wonder if you just received a crappy batch. Any chance you still have 1 or 2 untouched and unlubed that tick? You might be able to convince the vendor you ordered from for a refund or replacement

The gazzew way is when you press the stem all the way down before closing the top housing

Did you make sure to lube them “the gazzew way”? If you don’t, it damages the leaf which can lead to reduced tactility or ticking.

Reply to never buying from KDBFans or DHL ever again by REBKeeb
Yeah being Canadian is rough sometimes with import fees. I remember buying $100 keycaps from the US, and having to pay $30 for duties at Canada post. I still have a fairly positive opinion on DHL though because they’ve always delivered extremely fast internationally. Like sometimes sometimes within the next day or two from China.

If it wasn’t intentional…. probably a bad thing. Plus a tactile stem isn’t supposed to feel linear, meaning you probably damaged the leaf in the switch housing which may lead to false keypresses or the switch not registering at all.
