It depends on what kind of socializing you want to do. Honestly, I’m not a huge ‘going out’ person and when I do it’s often with people I know (some being relatively young, single people though). I’ve also lived in Hoboken.

There are so many more places in Hoboken, but I would definitely argue it’s a different scene than downtown Jersey City. It’s not like you are going to walk down Newark Ave on a thurs-sat night and the bars are empty. Also a fair amount of music and such.

Also, I’d probably take the PIA commute into the city over going to Hoboken any day of the week. The ‘Hamilton Park’ part of that commute is nothing compared to the PATH part. At least the walk to Grove can be consistent.

Their banana bread is good, but at that point why not just make your own loaf? The ingredients cost <$5 and it’s ridiculously easy to make. I guess if you don’t have a loaf pan…
