Reply to Better time to be a Philly sports fan? by TTP8630
I’d rank this 3rd behind 1980/81 and 2008/09 but might approach 1980 if either the Eagles or Sixers win it all. Need a chip to challenge for best sports era but it feels great that most of these teams could be in the mix for the next few seasons.

Add Thief to that and make it a triple feature.

Their description of the aesthetic and business model is definitely not for me at all and I’m still salty B&S closed essentially in a panic move by a corporation.
That said, I’m going to root for any new small business and might get coffee there sometime and reserve my judgement until then, even if it sounds like they’re trying way too hard to fill a niche that nobody is asking for.

In that time the EL has gone from a rough around the edges but mildly lovable “Philly” experience, to an 80% of the time you’ll see something harrowing experience. Other people may have different opinions but I’m saying this as someone with 30 years experience riding SEPTA.
BSL is fine outside of 2-3pm rowdy school kids and the after 11pm weekend weirdness.
Buses have actually improved.

Imagine how glorious the foliage would look if they installed mandatory 4K in the park.

I was so bummed when Mike Schank died last year. Everyone in that movie seemed so earnest and inspiring. I’d put it up there with Crumb as a quirky docu character study.
