Apple and all the phone manufacturers have been over sharpening, contrast boosting and noise reducing for years. I just wish I could turn off all processing but keep saving as HEIC (or JPG). RAW is just too unwieldy to work with.

The 3.5mm jack has been around since the 1960s and dual jacks were never thing with home audio afaik. Seems more like a scam invented by airlines to sell compatible earphones.
