When I was a kid, my dad and I were driving in the California desert heading to the Palomar observatory. On an empty highway completely without warning our car was blasted by a low flying F-16 that had snuck up on us from behind. I was instantly under the dashboard and my dad was shrunk in his chair shouting expletives (being a commercial pilot he was super pissed) It was the biggest "jump scare" I've ever experienced.

I can't imagine the noise of those engines. The sound of the jet was incredible. I've experienced "sneak up" flybys at airshows but this was that x1000
