You can tell just by watching interviews with Jason Alexander that he’s a brilliant man. He seems to speak in fully-formed paragraphs.

I thought season 2 was even better than the first. Truly great from start to finish.
Such a shame this show never really had a chance due to Covid and one of the sets burning down.

Yes, even on /r/television people are often confused about the difference between a HBO show and HBO Max show. It must have been even more common among more casual viewers.

I imagine I'd work my ass off and bring a draft of a one-minute scene with, say, 15 jokes sprinkled throughout – they'd probably tell me to just quit if I'm not going to be serious about my job: we can't have so few jokes in such a timespan.

Not just swear words. The creativity they put into insults in general is astounding.
"12 years a slave to jerking off" is one of my favorites but it's so hard to pick just one.

Huge recency bias but Avenue 5 S02E03 to S02E05 are great, with the stowaway cannibal being the common theme. I loved all the cannibalism-related puns.
The one during the elections when Nathan (the cannibal) is speaking in front of his supporters and one woman shouts, “Eat me!” may be my favorite.
In general Avenue 5 is a great under-the-radar show.
