Anglo sports clubs do it too. Some particularly vile incidents with the Rugby clubs.

I'm not surprised. Hazing seems to be frequent in sports clubs and programs at college levels.

It is a awful practice and tradition that needs to go.

Having been through football hazing, I can say it brought me no stronger bond or closer comraderie with my team, and left me with nothing but resentment and disgust toward the seniors that organised it.
