It’s rather beautiful that the universe like yourself has a birth and a death. Would suck if it was an endless unchanging void. Change is the only constant. Now ask yourself if you lose a limb, do you lose a piece of your identity? Or is it just a piece of your body? Now take away all your limbs and evaluate. You still exist in Your mind as the same person with the same identity. You are an infinite soul experiencing life through this veiled perception. You have lived countless lives before this and you will live countless more. Nature is very efficient and it likes balance. A soul doesn’t just get discarded after one life. Here in this realm we exist within time. But outside of time, one second and a billion years are one and the same. You may be able to understand this when you try DMT. So life is finite and also infinite. As I understand it the only escape from the cycle of life and death is to ascend to nirvana.
