as u/Kvartersalkis (hey , they sound like they could be Scandinavian!) said, soak the panade (bread crumbs) - they'll be more tender. (I'm not Swedish, just an avid cook).

Like many redditors, The nearest Whole foods and and IKEA are several hours drive from where I live. (Don't feel too sorry for me, thank FSM there's a Wegmans on the other side of town, and they have lingonberry jam. In fact ther's some in my fridge right now.)

Millions thousands at least one or two Sweish redditors sighed in relief when they saw it was with mash and not egg noodles, as we heathens in America often do.
