This is true, but only leases that are for a full year. A 364 day lease is not subject to the LTA from what I have been told. This is a sneaky trick used by some slumlords. So, when signing a lease, you should read and understand the entire lease.

In a duplex, each unit should have its own water heater. There is an exception, but that wouldn't apply here if you are paying for all of the utilities.

The exception would be if water and heat were both paid by the landlord and the hot water came from the boiler for radiant heat.

I was pulled over on the Lee Bridge many years ago for "breaking traction" ( sqealing wheels ) turning onto the bridge coming out of OH. I was going slow. What the man heard was a wailing guitar on the radio. He aked me to do a sobriety test there on that bridge. As I was looking 60' down over the railing on the sidewalk, I said no way. Then, a truck came by and slamed on the brakes right beside us. The bridge gave a good heave ho. I reminded the officer of the concept of " neutral ground." He had no idea what that was until the day of court, the day the prosecutor dropped the charge.

I had researched the bridges type and construction. It is supposed to move. It is engineered to move. It sits on saddles and has expansion joints.

¡Thank you! to the driver of that truck!

Those look like the old asphalt pavers that were used on Monument Ave.

As for trolly tracks, I live on China St on a trolly line. The water main is under the tracks. Any time someone requests lead line removal they have to cut out the trolly rails. I have a few segments saved! :)

As I have been told, the small almost square stones used in the bottom were ballast from ships. I don't know if this is true. But interesting
