Reply to Scientists create carbon nanotubes out of plastic waste using an energy-efficient, low-cost, low-emissions process. Compared to commercial methods for carbon nanotube production that are being used right now, ours uses about 90% less energy and generates 90%-94% less carbon dioxide by Wagamaga
2 concerns, even if this proves viable: What if virgin materials work better or are cheaper? What if after churning out CNTs by the megaton we discover they're an even worse form of pollution than plastic?

I remember the excitement of my first 747 flight in the 70's. I had the unexpected pleasure of being being bumped into first class a couple of times in the 80's on trans-Atlantic flights, that was particularly awesome.

If they get this to work I'll bet the first application will be for hunters, they already use a variety of calls. On a related note, I've found that making loud hissing noises is goose for get the fuck out of the way. Oddly it works on people too.
I'd love to have a chat with orcas and find out why they're sinking yachts.

Reply to How do I resolve a ceiling fan and light fixture that are controlled by same switches. by Madams135
I think smart switches/appliances/controllers/fixtures are the way of the future, so I'd lean into that rather than rewiring.
