It’s protected but there’s no elevated platforms near bus stops leading them to remove protection in front of several intersections.
Imo they should add elevated platforms so it acts like a curb to deter people from overtaking.

They just added a protected bike lane on this stretch though. Now whether or not flex posts deter an aggressive driver is another story.

Agree that this should be a priority but frankly some of the Fairfax stops beyond Arlington could use a lot of work.
The Tyson’s stops along route 7 are flanked by offices on one side and strip malls/car dealerships on the other.
And Reston has a similar dynamic at the stops there where you can’t really get off the train and walk anywhere if you go south from 267.

I’d guess people in Ashburn are much more likely to use it to commute to Tysons than into DC

She may be old but the other candidates were all considerably worse than her unfortunately.
I say this as someone who was looking for a different rep but all of the other candidates had kinda wacky platforms IIRC.
