Reply to comment by veloharris in NPS and DDOT moving ahead with road redesign in East Potomac Park. One vehicle lane on Ohio Drive from the East Potomac Golf Course to Hains Point and back to Buckeye Drive will be replaced with a dedicated bicycle and pedestrian lane. Work expected to begin next month by mistersmiley318
Yea, it's going to be bad for road cyclists who want to ride fast and for cars who have to share the road. Yet another reason DC sucks for cycling. Ugh.

Reply to comment by arlmwl in Synder hires BOA to manage sale of Commanders by MSteele1967
When I moved to DC in the 1980’s everyone talked about the Redskins everywhere. People at the grocery store would talk to each other about the games. You’d see Redskins flags everywhere, and there was always chatter at work about the team. The news always had fun to read articles about the team, and it was a massive, shared cultural experience.
Snyder has squandered all of that since he bought the team. Entire generations of kids have grown up thinking the Redskins are losers and either don’t care about football at all, or root for some other team. Hardly anyone talks about the team at work, amongst friends, or in bars. Most people I know who have gone to games in the last 10 years go to support the other team.
I’ve never seen such destruction of goodwill and a tearing down of a cultural icon in such a short period of time. But here we are.
I hope they sell and leave town.

Reply to Peter Sagan to stop road races, targets Olympics for farewell. by PrincessBananas85
My Dad and I were on the finish line in Richmond when he won the worlds there. We narrowly missed getting his gloves when threw them into the crowd right after winning. He was so happy!
What a brutally fast race that was. It was amazing to see just how FAST European pros are. Mind boggling.
I’ll miss Sagan in the pro peloton. I really liked seeing him race. And win green in Le Tour.
