Interestingly, I think the reason the speeches are like that is because they have such limited time. I watched some of the SAG Award acceptance speeches, and they didn't cut off any of them as they didn't have to worry about commercials. The speeches in turn were more heartfelt than the rushed name lists you're talking about, because they had time to both acknowledge the people they wanted to and say what they actually wanted to say.

I've noticed this about a lot of Indian films. Does anyone know why this is?

To be fair, I had the same worry you do, but I watched it anyway and it's very difficult to tell it's dubbed if you don't understand Telugu or Hindi. The parts in English are left alone too.

I read everything you wrote and I appreciate the thought out response. I don't really know what to say in response unfortunately. I've just been having a really hard time seeing any positivity for a really long time. I'm sorry if I was rude or mean in my original comment.

Well, to me, your comments basically boil down to "Just stop feeling bad" which is terrible, unhelpful advice.

Your comment made me want to kill myself even more than I already did. And no, I'm not joking or being edgy.

I expect there to be protests but from what I've heard from people who live there (granted it's a small amount of people) Memphis doesn't really riot like you might see in other cities. Not to mention they've already charged the officers involved.

Maybe that's what needs to happen.

Unfortunately a lot of places in the US aren't really walkable, especially drunk. You could sleep in your car but that can also lead to a DUI if a cop sees you.

Do you have links to the studies that show that?

How does the media normalize drunk driving? Everything I see is always against it. Maybe I'm missing something?

Reply to Florida Dominatrix Group Demands Taxpayer Money For Dungeon From Local City Council by mnorthwood13
So I assumed that the headline was a little hyperbolic, and that this probably had something to do with a small business tax credit that they weren't getting because of the nature of their business. But no, they straight up went in full regalia and said "we see you're spending money on waste management, you should give us money to build a dungeon."
I respect the boldness.

It's not like Sandlers movies are satire.

If you have to go back over 20 years to find something funny they've done, they probably don't deserve the Mark Twain Award.

I understand what you're saying and I agree. I guess this one just didn't bother me as much as I expected. It's all preference anyway.
Good luck finding the Telugu version, and enjoy it when you find it, the movie is a lot of fun!
