I was going to put Moneyball on my list and forgot. That helps contextualise more. Have you seen Michael Clayton? I'll think for others.

I guess the theme is person\people on a mission working through and winning against adversity and environment by outwitting, being smart and capable, and no annoying tropes. You want films that are exhilarating or feel good despite the adversity? There's a few I can think of.
Most recent Tom Cruise movies h Mission Impossible, Top Gun, Edge of Tomorrow, Jack Reacher (not the sequel though).
I think that all Taylor Sheridan films fit this category.
Master and Commander.
Knives Out.
Aliens.
Inception.
Way of the Gun.
If you're open to TV, Jack Reacher, Band of Brothers, Justified

Only 5 films rated 5/5, and two pairs of them by the same director. It makes me sad you didn't like the Princess Bride, I would put that into the same charming feel good category as Paddington.

Reply to Film taste is largely subjective by 85Millennial
I feel like you're ignoring an important aspect, you're only giving examples and talking about films that are objectively well made in this post. There are probably many films we all like and enjoy more than other films that are objectively better made. Ultimately how we rate a film is often strongly correlated with how we feel at the end of it, and especially the relationships the characters have. The best film makers do this well.
