well, i have had people run up on me with guns for just standing on the corner multiple times.
"waiting for a friend" on the street corner and multiple different groups have accused me of trying to sell drugs on thier corner so like .yeah, it is pretty shit compared to the rest of lakewood.
ive also had a crack head crawl in my window while i was sitting in my living room.
we knew her and what not but like.

oh yeah, it was def nice seeing skateboarders/skateboarding in a movie without us being used as an icon for a troublemaker.
that and outcold where the shit.
i remember the first thps got me skateboarding. graphics on the ps1 not to mention ancient TV we had. i thought all the intro videos and stuff were like CGI you know. ps1 magic.
after like, a couple years my dad was like "why dont yall ever try tricks on those things" we looked at my dad like he was crazy. few years later he like. drove us to another state to a skatepark like
"look at that guys" we lost our fucking minds.

this was such a bad movie. as a kid growing up as a skateboarder. they made no good skateboarding movies.
everything extreme sports related was always more about a love story than skateboarding.
same thing with street dreams.

this is why people think its "luke, i am your father" instead of "no, i am your father" because merch and shit used the wrong version for decades.

im honestly not the biggest fan of the movie, but it seems dubbed.
there was probably a cut in tape or for some other reason so they just used some B roll of their feet.
things like that with old film were used after they "got the take" so when editing through footage they just have too "look for the feet" and they would know "oh. rewind, thats the take we wanted"
now im speculating. but this was common in skateboarding videos where after they finally land the trick they would put their hand over the lens. so when editing they know where to look for the tricks that are landed.
As you can spend 15-25-35 minutes worth of film getting one trick.
