Succinctly put! The only other item to point out is that between rides/fares, the taxi then drives to the next one while the personal car is parked. So they may actually increase congestion slightly. However, I'm hoping that's minor enough that its not taken into consideration for most of these calculations!

Except now you have to add in the taxi, so it's -1 for the individual car and +1 for the taxi = net 0 / no change.

As these folks have said, she just doesn't want the walk to end. She's a scent hound and loves all the smells!

Mine still wants to walk in bad weather. The only difference is that she'll actually turn down the street to come back home without a fight, but she's still ready to keep going if I let her.

Oh, I am positive my dog knows the way home from our walks. You wanna know how? Every time we turn back towards the house, she refuses to move and I have to pick her up, put her on the right path, and then she'll start walking again. But it's only when we turn to go home - she's willing to keep walking any other direction...
(I do wonder how long it'd take her to decide to come back if she got out. She's only gotten out once, and we noticed the gate was open 60-120 seconds later, and she was just taking herself along our normal walking route!)

I do - we actually cancelled ours because the annual maximum was $1500 and monthly payments were $40/month - and essentially only accidents were covered (nothing that was preventive care or pre existing condition, which included arthritis for us). That was when she was 6 yo and it kept getting more expensive every year she got older. It just wasn't worth it for us, but maybe there's better policies out there.

And here I'm dreading the day we have to make the choice to put our 10 yo dog down, even tho she's in perfect health and I'm hoping it's 4-5 years down the line
(she's a beagle, although she had a neck inflammation/pulling her back out type scare about a year ago where the vet was encouraging us to do a $10k surgery - we don't believe in spending that much on our dog, although there are ways to afford it, and I seriously thought we'd had to say goodbye. Luckily she responded well to about $300 in medicines and hasn't had a relapse)
My point is, I'm dreading a one time event that vets/vet techs have to deal with so frequently.

This is how I know the pro-life debate is just gaslighting us - saying all life is sacred while blatantly ignoring any science that supports higher quality of life lacks a consistent logic. There's too much "grey space" that's not actually grey at all, but it's difficult to codify.
