I'm sure that Eversource is taking their slice of the pie, but I've never actually looked at their itemized bill.

My parents in CT on the other hand regularly get back $100-$200 on each electric bill with Eversource, none of this silly minimum bill stuff. They cut them a check once a year

Just bought two tickets, Saturday tickets are mostly sold out already unless you want to go at 7:30 PM. Still a few earlier time slots available on 12/17.

I was curious as well, and found this link which gives a great explanation.
TL;DR: This is the snow to water ratio. So 5.5:1 means if you took 5.5 inches of snow and melted it, you would get 1 inch of water. "Light and fluffy" snow might be 15:1 or 20:1, whereas very heavy snow would be 10:1 or below.
