Reply to Just finished season 1 of True Detective, would like some more stuff exactly like that please. by Mally_Mac
I'd like more shows like this as well OP but shows of this quality comes along rarely, we have to savor them when they do appear because we never know how long we'll have to wait for the next one.

It's a fun, easy to watch show. The sitcom genre has really been neglected recently so us sitcom fans are willing to watch anything halfway decent...while we fold out our laundry.

Stop caring about what other people think about your entertainment choices.
You've turned a relaxing pastime into work. Take some time away from social media and try to remember what you used to enjoy about movies and TV before you started trying to turn watching them into a job.

Julian Rhind-Tutt pretty much always plays strange characters. I don't think I've ever seen him play a normal character, I just expect his characters to be strange at this point.
Keen Eddie was great but I'm not surprised that the general US audience didn't get it. The whole show was a little strange, but not in a bad way.

I watched about 14-15 seasons of OG Law and Order before realizing that it had turned into mostly stale rehashed stories and big name celebrities guest starring for ratings.
If a show I've been watching for a few seasons has 3 bad episodes in a row I usually stop watching for a while to decide if I want to continue or not.
If it's a show I just started watching if 2 of the first 5 episodes are bad I'm out. If they're not actually bad but just soso I'll usually decide at the end of the first season.

Cable is still popular for sports fans. Based on my life experience black people are more likely to be sports fans than other ethnic groups. My experience only extends to people in the US through.
