Most yoga studios have new student specials where you get unlimited classes for a set price (ie one month for $50) so you can try different classes and see whether you like the studio.

Some good options are Boston Yoga Union, Artemis Yoga in Watertown, and Down Under Yoga, which has several locations. All have classes at various levels.

I have lived here for years and this is the first I’ve heard of Fisher. I have heard of Emmanuel and know people who have grad degrees from Lesley.

Don’t go to any school just to move to the area, especially an expensive area. That is a waste of time and money. Look into community colleges or state schools in NC and then transfer.

The Dance Complex changes it schedule fairly often and has so many dance styles. She should check the schedule to see what has been added. Boston has an active dance scene comprised of different communities, so she should try out a few. Tango, flamenco, swing, etc. Also Urbanity Dance Studio, Afrobeats Dance Boston.

Dance Complex has a wide variety of classes, which type did she take that were ‘stuffy’? There’s Moves & Vibes Dance in Cambridge for zouk, bachata, kizomba. Rumba y Timbal, which I think does have some salsa classes at Dance Complex, many other studios out there depending on what she is looking for exactly.

Using Zipcar, Uber/Lyft/taxi, grocery delivery will all be cheaper than a car. Not sure where you want to go, but the commuter rail gives you access to lots of places outside the city. Just takes a bit more planning than having a car, but very possible.

Yes, it is very possible. I lived in Brighton for years without a car. Get to know the bus routes as they can be more direct, depending on where you are going.

The shelters I know will only adopt out a single kitten if another cat is in the house. Perhaps let them know you have dogs already? Maybe knowing other animals are there will make a difference.

This isn’t kitten season, so there will be fewer available. A young, adult cat is another option.
