Reply to [D] Why are we stuck with Python for something that require so much speed and parallelism (neural networks)? by vprokopev
Python just makes C calls so most of that is not running slowly in the interpreter. Python is a little slower than pure C but not much. You're not even stuck using python. Plenty of people use c. My time is more valuable than the CPU cycles so I use python.

It would be a lossy compression, but that's basically what super resolution does.

I feel the opposite. While there is a lot more cool stuff out there then there was 10 years ago when I started. The work has not changed much. Everything that's interesting gets provided for free from universities, or google. This leaves me with the chore of sorting through large piles of data. Honestly the ai portion of every project I have been on is tiny compared to the overall infrastructure required while management only cares about what's new and shiny.

Reply to How to split bills fairly in this instance? by [deleted]
Well, a 5050 split is obviously the most fair, but I'm in a similar situation where I make about twice what my partner makes and I our split is about 6633 because thats what she can afford and I want to live in a nicer place. We were doing 5050 when we lived in a cheap one bedroom apartment though.
