It has been this way for months now in DC. My daughter had RSV and was in ChIldren’s ER without ever getting an ICU bed back in early August. For the respiratory illnesses the kids really just need forced oxygen while they recover and that usually only exists in ER and ICU. Those emergency departments have to be totally exhausted :(
