More than that, they’ve gone up to 6 years before with the iPhone 6s. It didn’t get iOS 16 this year, but it got iOS 15 last year and will continue to get security updates for as long as Apple wants to keep supporting it.
My iPad mini 2 (2013) stopped getting major iOS updates with iOS 12 (released 2018) and got regular security updates for years, and I even got a security update in August this year. Granted it was to fix a big vulnerability, but it’s almost 10 years old.

I’ve been using F-Secure Freedome for years. Good speeds, trustworthy and European company. Other providers have more locations etc but it works well so I have no inclination to shop around for something new.

Jealous, any USB-C device I've owned for about ~18mo has gone the same way.

Nope, the one thing I prefer about Lightning over USB-C is the design. It has little pins inside the phone that push into indents on the plug, I’ve never had a lightning port be loose but every USB-C port I’ve had has loosened up over time.
USB-C is technically superior and has faster data transfer speeds etc, but if all you do with it is charge your phone Lightning wins hands down.

Yeah I've used it for websites before, but I find myself wanting it most for screenshotting posts and threads on here/Twitter/Instagram/messaging apps. Hopefully they'll expand the functionality eventually.

Agreed. I don’t get why the iOS dialler even has letters on it when we can’t use T9.

- Scrolling/long screenshots
- Google Phone app's spam call detection - worked way better than anything I've tried on iOS.
- Customisable notifications (e.g; turning vibrate off for certain WhatsApp/Telegram contacts)

Reply to eli5 : Why do some companies make huge payouts when someone is fired? by Arsinoexx
Can be a combination of reasons. If somebody has been made redundant, there can be a legal obligation like statutory redundancy pay in the UK. Contracts also sometimes include severance pay clauses on top of legal obligations, and they're usually there as something to entice somebody to want to work for a company to begin with.
