I agree with your Gosling and before that it was Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, & Pretty much any Tigerbeat type actor who proved himself in a later roll. I think for DiCaprio it was the Aviator that got me. With Pitt it was Snatch. I really started to like Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love.
