Reply to Seven months has past since the enactment of the single use plastic ban. How many reusable bags do you own? How many of them do you use on a consistent basis? by Eastcoastpal
I have about ten bags that I was using for about 15 years. In the summer I live on the Barnegat Bay and paddleboard daily from June -Late October. I used to pull at least 3 single-use bags out of the bay every day. Now, virtually none, except for the occasional ice bag and bait bags. I’m still pulling out water bottles and cans of White Claws. The difference was immediate, which is cool.

I remember a bunch of these commercials, especially NBO. I started working at the WTC in 1981 on the 69th floor. So nostalgic!

So sick if it. Thus nutter in my marina always refers to NJ as the ‘Soviet Socialist Republic of New Jersey.’ He moved out to PA.

I’ll throw in my anecdote: in the summertime, I paddleboard a 3 mile trek (6 back & forth) in the Barnegat Bay from Bay Head to Mantoloking. I pick up trash along the way. I used to fish out about 4 bags daily. Now, I pick up one every other day, but it’s now only an ice or bait bag. Rarely am I finding the plastic shopping bags. I still pick up Mylar balloons and daily floating cans of White Claws.
